The Members of the Moroccan Community in South Africa are proud of King Mohammed VI's Initiative to facilitate the return of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MRE), underlined, Monday, the President of the “Moroccan Association in South Africa” (MASA), Mr. Abdeslam Habiballah.

This Noble Royal Gesture, added to so many others towards the Moroccan Diaspora, is part of the High Solicitude with which His Majesty the King never ceases to surround Moroccans around the world, Mr. Habiballah emphasized.

He also stressed that "this gesture came at the right time to bridge the gap between the Covid-19 repercussions and the hopes of Moroccans living abroad to visit their families in Morocco".

The Sovereign has instructed all stakeholders in the field of air transport, in particular the company Royal Air Maroc, as well as the various actors of maritime transport, to ensure reasonable prices that are within everyone's reach, as well as a sufficient number of rotations, in order to allow Moroccan families abroad to return home and reconnect with their families and relatives, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, His Majesty the King has urged all tourism operators, both in the field of transport and the hotel industry, to take the necessary measures to welcome the members of the Moroccan community living abroad in the best conditions and at the best prices.
