During his working visit to Morocco, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Malawi, Mr. Eisenhower Nduwa Mkaka recalled, on Saturday the 24th of October 2020, that Malawi has no relationship with the so-called “sadr” since May 2017.

Mr. Nduwa Mkaka underlined that his country believes in dialogue for the resolution of problems, adding that Malawi will continue to support Morocco in international and regional fora.

For his part, Mr. Bourita noted that the visit of his Malawian counterpart to Rabat was an opportunity for him to commend the constructive position of Malawi on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara and to thank this country for the support provided to Morocco within the African Union on this issue.

The talks between Mr. Bourita and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malawi culminated in the signing of four memorandums of understanding.

The first concerns the field of agriculture and food security, the second relates to cooperation in the sector of higher education and scientific research, the third relates to cooperation in the field of land, housing and urban development, while the last one concerns cooperation in the field of water and sanitation.
